Sikkim: ₹1 Crore Teesta-III Project Materials Go Missing; one arrested

UKHRUL, NOVEMBER 19: High-grade steel plates and iron rods valued nearly Rs 1 crore meant for the 1,200 MW Teesta-III Hydel Project in Chungthang, North Sikkim, was reported missing. Upon investigation, one person has been arrested. Binod Kumar Bansal, the primary suspect allegedly worked with others to channel the construction material for private profit. According to sources police has booked the case under sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023.
