Ukhrul, January 9, 2025: According to a press release from the 152nd Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), the unit organised a Civic Action Programme (CAP) today at Kanglatongbi, PS Sekmai, Imphal West. The event, which aimed to strengthen ties with the local community, was attended by Love Kumar, PMG, Commandant of the 152 Bn CRPF, as the chief guest. Other senior officers present included Sh Suresh Kumar, 2IC; Sh Sunil, Officer Commanding of C/152; and Inspector Vikram of OC F/152.

The press release states that the Village Chief and local dignitaries greeted the Commandant and other CRPF officers, while students from the region performed a cultural programme, adding vibrancy to the occasion.
During the event, the Commandant addressed the beneficiaries and local villagers, emphasizing the importance of the Civic Action Programme as a welfare initiative aimed at supporting the region’s needs. According to the release, the Commandant assured the community that such programmes would continue in the future to address the welfare concerns of the local population.

As part of the event, the Commandant distributed essential school supplies, including school bags, notebooks, pens, and pencils, to students. The press release notes that these contributions were warmly appreciated by the local residents, particularly the students and their families.

According to the release, earlier CAP initiatives were also carried out in nearby villages like Tairenpokpi and Khongnangpokpi, where the 152 Bn CRPF distributed water storage tanks, mosquito nets, and sports equipment such as badminton rackets, shuttlecocks, and badminton shoes.
The local community has expressed their gratitude for these ongoing welfare efforts, further strengthening the bond between the CRPF and the villagers.
