2nd Kamjong Dist League 2022 to kick off from Sep 1 till 12; register now

Kamjong: The 2nd Kamjong District League 2022, organized by Kamjong District Football Association (KDFA) is all set to kick off from September 1 till September 12 at Kamjong headquarters. The organizer has fixed a total of eight teams for the upcoming league on a first come first serve basis. The last date of registration is August 25.

This year’s Kamjong District League winner will take home Rs. 30,000, while the runner up will receive Rs. 20,000. Other awards include, Man of the match for every match played, Match money every match and other individual awards.

The opening ceremony cheif guest will be Potsangbam Renedy Singh, also known as Renedy Singh, a well known former Indian football player and football pundit, who was the interim manager of Indian Super League club East Bengal for 2021–22 season. He is also the former captain of the India national football team. The closing ceremony chief guest will be Leishiyo Keishing, MLA 43-Phungyar (ST) AC and former HAC chairman, the organizer said.

The first Kamjong District League was held in 2021. Phungyar FC took was declared 2021 league winner, while Oriental FC bagged the runner up.

KDFA, established in January 25, 2021 is a registered football association with the All Manipur Football Association.
