UKHRUL, NOV 24: A joint team of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and Delhi Police on Sunday seized 328 kg of methamphetamine from the Capital, officials said. The haul, valued at around ₹262 crore, is one of the largest recovered in recent months. Two persons have been arrested.

Reports said the officials said the drugs were tightly packed and concealed to avoid detection. Preliminary investigation suggests the consignment was meant for distribution across northern India, with the possibility of onward trafficking.

As per Economic Times, two people — including a woman from Nagaland — have been arrested. Investigators have also identified additional operatives, including a key handler based abroad who is wanted in connection with last year’s seizure of 82.5 kg of high-grade cocaine in Delhi, official told ET.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, reacting to the development on X, said the seizure reflected the Centre’s “zero-tolerance” stance on narcotics. He also commended the coordination between agencies involved in the operation.
