District Administration Chandel celebrated ‘The 75th Independence of India’ at district headquarters Chandel on today at Mini Secretariat, DC office, Chandel.

Mayanglambam Rajkumar, Deputy Commisioner Chandel graced the function as chief guest.

Speaking at the joyous occasion, Mayanglambam Rajkumar mentioned Chandel district’s recent success in coming on the top list of aspirational districts ranked by government think tank Niti Aayog for the month of June and congratulated for the support extended by District Level Officers working with various departments.

He also highlighted the progress on mass Vaccination under Chandel’s Chief Medical Officer and to reach out more to the unreached, particularly in the far flung areas of the district. Further mentioning various projects undertaken by the his administration in Chandel, he appealed all the departments and DLOs and staffs to work hard and strike for excellence.

The Deputy Commissioner was joined by Ksh. Siddharth, ADC Chandel, N. Pritam Singh, SDO Chandel, L. Deben Singh, SP/Chandel, S. Somorjit Singh, CO 8MR, Ajit Khatri, CO 18AR, Dr. Serthani Serbum, CMO Chandel, Dr. Joyson Monsang, MS DHC, Dr. BD. Thumdal, Principle United College and DLOs of Chandel as special guests on the dais.

The arrival of invitees, parade forms up, and parade commander reports to the chief quest was followed on by inspection of guard of honour, hoisting of national flag with rashtriya salute and speech by the chief guest.

A beautiful band displayed was performed by 18 AR Chandel which was followed by distribution of awards and certificates. The celebration ended with a vote of thanks delivered by SDO, Chandel.
