A 76-year-old man on charges of raping a nine-year-old girl in Tripura’s South district. The elderly man was arrested based on a complaint filed by the mother of the minor girl.
Police said that the accused has been booked under Section 376 (AB) of the IPC and Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
According to the complaint, the accused lured the minor to his house while other family members were away and raped her.
