Meghalaya reported 77 new infections of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. The state also reported 120 recoveries of the disease.
Meanwhile, 14 fresh Covid-19 cases were reported from the Madanrting neighbourhood in Shillong on Monday.
Of the new cases 63 were in East Khasi Hills, six in West Jaintia Hills, four in West Garo Hills, three in South West Garo Hills and one in West Khasi Hills.
Besides the Madanrting 14, there were also four new cases in nearby Nongthymmai, three in Lumparing, two in Demseiniong, two in Kharmalki and two in Mawlai Nonglum. In West Garo Hills all four cases were in the Matchakolgre cluster, while two of those in South West Garo Hills were in the Damalgre alda Gittim cluster.
Of the recoveries 91 were reported in East Khasi Hills, nine in West Garo Hills, eight in Ri-Bhoi, eight in West Garo Hills, three in South West Garo Hills and one in North Garo Hills.
In all, Meghalaya has had 12,314 Covid-19 cases, of which 621 are active, 11,573 have recovered and 120 have died from the virus. The recovery rate is 93.98 percent.
The Health Department also informed that around 1,600 Covid-19 tests were carried out in the past 24 hours.
