CHANDEL, Sep 14: An engaging and transformative 8th One-Day Faith Formation Camp, 2026 was successfully held on Saturday at Sacred Heart Church, Tungphae (Heigrutampak) in Chandel district.
Organized by Bujuur Kaetholic Nongruwr (Moyon Naga Catholic Organization) under the theme, “Rooted in Christ”, the camp drew together Men’s Society, Women’s Society and Youth from Moyon Naga Catholic faithful for a day of spiritual growth, community building and joyful learning.

W. John Tharshing Moyon, President, Moyon Naga Catholic Organization, in his welcome speech, urged the Moyon Naga Catholic faithful to be rooted in Christ and grow up in faith. As the tree cannot survive without water, our faith should be deepen in the sacrament of Holy Eucharistic and Confessions, to strengthen our faith in times of trial and temptations, and firmly rooted in his Holy words, he said.
During the 1st session, Resource person Dr. Wanglar Alphonsa Moyon evangelised on the topic, “Rooted and Growing deep in Christ”. She explained in 3 important points – personal prayer, honouring the 8 steps of the Holy Eucharist and family prayer. In praying, faithful Catholics built a bonding relationship with God, personally and as a family, she said.
She concluded that, during the Holy Eucharist, we show our sincere reverence and humility as we are celebrating the breaking the bread with the Lord.
In the 2nd Session, Rev. Fr. Bosco Golmei, Parish Priest, St. Anthony Parish, Machi, shared the importance of the word of God and the Holy sacraments in our daily life. He reflected that by listening to the Lord and receiving His manifold presence in our hearts.
Rev. Fr. Athew Mathew, Associate Parish Priest, St. Peter’s Parish, Monsangpantha, in his homily during the Holy Mass, expressed his concern for the faithful to establish a family with strong faith in the living word, believing in his protection and guidance.

After the Holy Eucharist, Mr. Ng. Reuben, Vice President, Bujuur Kaetholic Nongruwr, expressed his gratitude towards the successful and fruitful conclusion of the faith formation camp. He thanked and appreciated the Resource persons for the fruitful success of the day.
The faith formation camp concluded with a shared reflection on faith and celebratory feast leaving every participants being inspired and energized to live ot their faith in their daily lives.
