MoU for 9 Empanelment under PMJAY and CMHT Signed today

UT News Service | IMPHAL, August 3: Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for empanelment under Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) and Chief Ministergi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT) signing was held today with 7 Public and 2 Private hospitals in presence of Hon’ble Health & FW Minister Manipur.

As of 30th July, 2020, 25 hospitals are empanelled under these two schemes. Besides these 25 hospitals, Samaritan Nursing Home, Churachandpur has also been temporary empanelled under PMJAY during COVID-19 pandemic based on the guidelines issued by the National Health Authority, the implementing central authority of AB-PMJAY. Of these 26 empanelled hospitals, the Tripartite Agreement was yet to be signed with 9 newly empanelled hospitals as given below, stated the MoU by the State Health Agency (SHA).

Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) was launched nationally by the Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 23rd September, 2018. The scheme aims to provide cashless hospitalization benefit of up to Rs 5 lakhs per family per year for secondary and tertiary care for poor families included in the Socio Economic Caste Census (SECC) 2011. As of 31th July, 2020, there have been 18,867 cases of treatment under PMJAY amounting to Rs. 26,14,32,190/-, SHA.

Chief Minister-gi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT) was launched by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Manipur on 21st Jan 2018. This shcheme aims to provide cashless hospitalization benefit of up to Rs 2 lakhs per family per year for secondary and tertiary care to AAY card holders, Widow, Disabled, Local Media Person, Local Newspaper Hawkers and Other poor families in the State. As of 30th July, 2020, there have been 34,236 cases of treatment under CMHT amounting to Rs. 41,42,08,707/-, SHA.
