Manipur registered six new COVID-19 infections after 359 samples were tested in the past 24 hours (till 4pm of March 29), bringing state’s cumulative number of positive cases to 29,391, according to latest data from the state health department.
The cumulative number of infections included 28,950 including two patients who were discharged upon being cured from the viral disease on Monday.
The active cases in the state increased to 67 and the recovery rate dipped to 98.49%.
With no death related to the viral disease, the cumulative number of fatality remained at 374.
As per the health department data, of the six fresh positive cases reported in the past 24 hours, two each were from Imphal West and Kakching district and one each from Bishnupur and Ukhrul districts.
The fresh cases were among 359 samples tested for the pandemic in the past 24 hours. With these, a number of samples tested for the coronavirus in the state reached 5,74,884 on Monday.
Meanwhile, only three persons were vaccinated against COVID-19 in the state on Monday. With this, the cumulative number of vaccinated people stood at 85717 including 31,592 healthcare workers.
