The High Powered Committee, Nagaland in a consultation meeting Wednesday has decided to extend the current lockdown till June 30, 2021 with further relaxations.
The latest lockdown extension in Nagaland was confirmed by High Powered Committee (HPC) spokesperson Mmhonlumo Kikon today on twitter, “Situation is Improving but we are still not out of the woods. Positivity rate is declining but still requires to be below 5 % & we need to vaccinate more than 50% of the population.”
Nagaland statewide total lockdown came into effect from May 14 and have been ever since extended four times. The latest lockdown orders was expiring on June 30.
Respective District Task Force will work out the relaxation or restrictions required as per the local situation, Mmhonlumo Kikon added.
He added, “We acknowledge the inconvenience faced by the people but given the circumstances we have to continue with the lockdown for now”
