Japhou Bazar area, Chandel district headquarters on Thursday conducted a special drive of house-to-house Covid-19 testing as per the order issued by the district magistrate Mayanglambang Rajkumar.
As per the directive, the CMO Chandel medical team in collaboration with Chandel Police along with Japhou Bazar Authority/Board conducted the Covid-19 testing from house to house.
Mass testing was also conducted at the old Japhou Bazar market shet. As per the source, 174 persons were tested out of which 6 reported to be positive – Three male and three female.
The test was conducted in the light of recent surge of Covid-19 positive cases in the district and other parts of Manipur.
