UT Bureau | Ukhrul, Aug 15: The District Commissioner of Ukhrul, Shri Joseph Pauline Kamson today hoisted the national flag of India at Mini Secretariat complex, Phungreitang and addressed the dignitaries and Government staff under strict SOP of Covid-19 on the occasion of India’s 74th Independence Day. In view of the Covid-19 situation the general public have not been invited to the event.
In the function, awards and momentos were distributed in recognition for outstanding service to the government employees especially to Covid-19 frontline workers.
The Certificate of appreciation were handed over to three each Covid-19 frontline workers of 44 AC Ukhrul and 45 AC Chingai. 15 Police personnel, 17 Manipur Rifles personnel, and 2 PHED staffs and 10 medical teams.
Kamjong District Commissioner, Smt. Zuringla Kengoo hoisted the tricolour at Kamjong SDO Office complex and was attended by government and public officials with fewer denizens from the district headquarters.
