The footage captures a shocking incident involving an Uber driver masturbating while ferrying four women home from a birthday party in Gurgaon. In a bold move, one of the passenger, a Northeastern woman residing in the city shared her harrowing experience, shedding light on the disturbing behavior exhibited by the driver, who was recorded with his genitals exposed while behind the wheel.
According to one of the victims who posted on social media, a group of friends, returning home from a birthday party in Gurgaon, booked an Uber to transport them back. As they settled into the car, with one of them seated in the front and the others in the back, the atmosphere soured when the driver’s behavior turned inappropriate. Midway through the journey, the passenger seated in the front felt a hand on her thigh, a touch she immediately recognized as deliberate. Confronting the driver, she expressed her discomfort, only to be met with excuses and denials, claiming that it was an accidental slip of hand while changing gears. Despite her insistence, the driver continued to justify his actions as accidental, leaving the passengers feeling uneasy and vulnerable. The woman gave the driver the benefit of doubt as the driver apologised.

However, the situation took a horrifying turn when the driver began masturbating while driving, a shocking and distressing sight for the passengers. In a state of shock and disbelief, the group confronted the driver, who adamantly denied any wrongdoing and insisted that his hands were innocently resting at the bottom of the steering wheel. However, undeterred by his excuses, the woman took out her phone and began recording the disturbing act, demanding that he stop the car immediately. However, their pleas were met with defiance, as they neared their destination the driver veered off course insisting that any recordings be deleted or else he would take them elsewhere. Feeling trapped and unsafe, the passengers warned of involving the police. Startled by the mention of law enforcement, the driver promptly stopped the car. Amid the unsettling circumstances, the passengers made the difficult decision to exit the vehicle and walk the remaining distance to their destination in the middle of the night. The incident has left them with lingering fears and concerns about their safety while using ride-sharing services. In response to the incident, the passengers have called on Uber to take immediate and decisive action, including implementing stricter background checks and training protocols for drivers to prevent similar incidents in the future.

In a subsequent video, the woman bravely recounted the harrowing experience, calling on Uber to take immediate action. She emphasized the need for a robust system to prevent such incidents from recurring, ensuring that individuals with predatory intentions are not allowed to become drivers.
“I deeply regret that such incidents continue to occur, and I shudder to think of the potential outcome had I been alone. This is the second time I’ve experienced such a horrifying ordeal, but unlike the first instance, I now have concrete evidence in the form of video recordings. With the support of my friends, I implore Uber to take immediate and decisive action. It’s imperative that they implement stringent measures, including thorough background checks, comprehensive training, and rigorous interviews for prospective drivers. Given Uber’s significant presence in our daily lives, it’s crucial that they prioritize safety and accountability to prevent individuals with predatory behavior from becoming drivers.”

Amidst the uproar sparked by the video, some commentators speculated in the comments that the passengers’ attire might have provoked the driver’s behaviour.
Addressing the accusations of provocative clothing, the passenger emphasized that they were dressed modestly, debunking any assumptions. Clad in knee-length boots, long skirts, and collared tops to combat the winter chill, the passengers were fully covered, their outfits offering no justification for the driver’s inappropriate actions. Such stereotypical assumptions not only miss the mark but also perpetuate harmful narratives.
