Krystyna Pyszková of the Czech Republic clinched the coveted Miss World title in a dazzling contest held in Mumbai on Saturday night. The event, which marked the return of the beauty competition to India after 28 years, showcased the rich tapestry of India’s culture, traditions, and heritage to a global audience. Yasmina Zaytoun of Lebanon emerged as the first runner-up among 112 contestants. Pyszkova expressed her deep honor in representing her country and the values of ‘beauty with a purpose’ on a global platform.

“Being crowned Miss World is a dream come true. I am deeply honored to represent my country and the values of ‘beauty with a purpose’ on a global platform,” Pyszkova said, after the reigning Miss World, Karoline Bielawska of Poland, passed the crown to her.

The 71st Miss World beauty pageant, hosted by Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar and Miss World 2013 Megan Young from the Philippines, witnessed participants adorned in heavily embroidered attire, dancing to popular Bollywood tunes.

Krystyna Pyszková, born on January 19, 1999, is a Czech model and beauty pageant titleholder who previously held the Miss Czech Republic 2022 crown. She is the second woman representing the Czech Republic to be crowned Miss World. The 24-year-old beauty not only secured the Miss World title but also earned the accolade of Miss Europe during the Top 4 selection. Her stunning red and black embroidered gown, symbolizing her rich cultural heritage, earned her the Best Fashion Designer Award – Europe. Apart from her academic pursuits in Law and Business Administration, Krystyna is dedicated to philanthropy, notably establishing the Krystyna Pyszko Foundation. Her Beauty With A Purpose project focuses on advancing quality education for underprivileged children in Tanzania, where she has established a school and volunteers her time. Beyond her charitable endeavors, Krystyna finds joy in music and art, boasting nine years of training in an art academy and proficiency in playing the transverse flute and the violin.
