Itanagar: In a thrilling finale at the Golden Jubilee Stadium in Yupia, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur footballer Captain P Christopher Kamei led his squad, Services, to a resounding victory against Goa in the 77th Santosh Trophy Final. With a solitary long-range strike by Shafeel P.P at the 67th minute of the second half, Services secured a 1-0 win, clinching their seventh Championship title in the prestigious India Inter-state Football Competition.

Last night’s match was a tense affair, with Goa making several attempts to seize the trophy. However, Services’ formidable defense thwarted all of Goa’s efforts, ensuring they maintained their lead until the final whistle, even during extra time.
