IMPHAL, AUG 30: The Manipur State Cabinet has approved the framing of Manipur Teacher Educator Service Rules 2024. The Cabinet also decided to increase the upper age limit of the Chairman and member of the Manipur Lokayukta from 70 years to 72 years with the recommendation of the Selection Committee. Creation of eight additional posts for the Manipur Judicial Academy was also approved, an official report said today.
Allotment of land for Directorate of SCERT for the establishment of DIET, Imphal West and allotment of land for Directorate of Health Services Manipur for the construction of Sub-District Hospital and Primary Health Centre at Moreh was also approved, it also said.

The establishment of Manipur Ayurveda Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy (AYUSH) Council with the prior assent of the Governor of Manipur was also affirmed by the Cabinet. Rectification of pay level in respect of the post of Consultant (Finance/Procurement), IDSP under State Health Department was also approved. One time relaxation for the promotion to the post of Secretariat Assistant from the eligible employees of Manipur Public Service Commission was also decided, the report added.
The extension of contractual engagement of S Nabachandra Sharma, Co-ordinator, under Art and Culture Department and also the extension of re-engagement of retired Principal Private Secretary/Private Secretary in General Administrative Department (GAD), Manipur Secretariat for a period of one year was also considered by the Cabinet.

Amendment of Manipur Start Up – CMESSS guidelines and CM Farmers Livelihood Support Scheme was also approved.
The Cabinet also resolved for taking up necessary action for operationalization of the newly established Manipur Electricity Regulatory Commission (MnERC) in pursuance to Section 82 of the Electricity Act, 2003.
