All Hunphun Tang Association 48 hrs agitation defers till Feb 6

Following positive response from the concerned authorities, the All Hunphun Tang Association has put on hold its agitation till Friday.

AHTA had earlier served 48 hours ultimatum to kickstart the pending restoration and repairing works of Ukhrul town main lifelines road, NH 102A, cautioning that it will launch intense agitation in the event of failure to comply with their warnings.

Citing the reasons for deferring the proposed agitation, Qr. Chonmi Raleng, president AHTA informed that following assurances made by Bulbul Chandra Das, Deputy General Manager NHIDCL, PMU Ukhrul and TNL, the All Hunphun Tang Association (AHTA) – the apex body of 28 localities of Hunphun –  had refrained from taking up the agitation and postponed it till Friday next.

Failure to translate the assurance will compel us to launch intense form of agitations where the concern authority should be held responsible for all consequences, Qr. Chonmi warned.
