Amit Shah on a two-day visit to Manipur; to inaugurate Marjing polo statue, Ccpur Medical College

Imphal: Union home minister Amit Shah arrived in Imphal late Thursday evening amidst tight security measures on a two-day visit to Manipur. Shah was welcomed by chief minister N Biren Singh, joined by BJP president Adhikarimayum Sharda Devi, cabinet colleagues on his arrival at Bir Tikendrajit International Airport, Imphal.

Amit Shah attended a cultural event held at City Convention Centre after his arrival in the capital city of Manipur.

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah in his two-day visit will be inaugurating several projects in the state. It includes, Churachandpur Medical College, the first ever in the hill district of Manipur; the newly constructed 120 ft tall Marjing polo statue at Heingang Marjing Hill; Manipur Olympian Park Sangaithel; Fruit Preservation Factory Nilakuthi; Development of Cave Tourism Project at Kangkhui Cave; Model Residential School at LM Block Ukhrul, 100 Bedded Residential School Rengpang; Nongpok Thong Bridge at Eastern Side of Kangla among others.

While welcoming the union minister, N Biren Singh took to twitter and said, “Hearty welcome to Hon’ble Union HM Shri Amit Shah Ji in Imphal. The people of Manipur are delighted to welcome Amit Ji who have time & again shown his affection for the people of Manipur through important decisions like implementation of ILP & honouring our great forefathers.”
