IMPHAL, Sep 2: The All Manipur United Clubs’ Organization (AMUCO) has urged the Government of India, the State Government of Manipur and their machineries to come down heavily on the Kuki militants.
The AMUCO also criticized that the Sunday’s incident has nullified Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement which was made in the Parliament in the past that the situation in Manipur was gradually normalized.
Addressing a press meet held today at its office at Kwakeithel, AMUCO president Nando Luwang blamed the Central security forces deployed in Manipur for failing to control the Kuki militants.
He continued to state that the AMUCO “considers the prevailing situation in the state as designed and sponsored by certain quarters.
Nando further alleged that the Government of India has the hidden agenda of annihilating the indigenous people in Manipur and the insurgents.
“The crisis in Manipur is not a communal issue, but an aggression generated by the Kukis who entered from Myanmar. As part of this, the Kuki militants have now even started bombing the Meitei villages by using drones which is completely against the law and even killed an innocent woman on Sunday”, rued Nando.
The AMUCO president went on to maintain that the Security Advisor no longer has the moral right to stay in his office while alleging that he failed to perform his duty.

Nando further questioned the reason for the Security Advisor not being able to work out a concrete step to address the situation in the state.
Saying that the legislators in the state will drown in the general public’s tears and blood in the near future, Nando demanded the Chief Minister, ministers and MLAs to stop living on pretensions and work honestly to save the state
He also alleged that the Kukis attacks on the Meitei villages have been often carried out right under the nose of central security forces.
The AMUCO president then declared that the organization in association with the people of Manipur will stand against the arrest of Meitei village volunteers and seizures of their weapons since the government cannot control the Kuki militants.
