CHANDEL, AUG 21: The Anal Lenruwl Tangpi General Headquarters (ALT-GHQs) has resolved to work on improving the educational system under its jurisdiction in Chandel district and has, therefore, work towards an education policy. The resolution was taken during the first legislative assembly of the ALT held on Friday at Chamdil Christian Village Community Hall for the tenure 2026-29.
During the assembly, attended by senior members and student leaders, the house resolved to revive the Changtung Lohe Piiteh (Literary competition) which had been on a pause for over 6 years. Under the resolution, the executives of the ALT has been endorsed to form a committee, select the members and work towards organising the competition.

Moreover, after much deliberation following an agenda put up by ALT president Wng. Lawrence Anal, the house agreed on the need to work towards improving the educational system under its jurisdiction in the district. Former ALT leaders such was Nl. Wilpelngam, Lh. David Manahring and ANSAM speaker shared their ideas and suggestions with regards to the agent.
It was agreed that a committee would be formed who would look into the educational system under the jurisdiction of ALT and make a case study on the same. The house also resolved that the case study would be put up before the house in the next assembly and an education policy framed to work on the same.
In this regard, the executive members have been given the responsibility to form the committee too.
Besides these, other agendas on membership fee, participation in the upcoming Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) Martyrs’ Trophy.
The assembly began with the hoisting of the ALT flag by union president Wng. Lawrence. Meanwhile, Rd. Alex Anal was re-installed and induction as the Speaker, Assembly Affairs, ALT for the second term. He had served as the Speaker during the 2023-26 too. RL. Raymond, president of Lamphou Charu Youth Club was inducted at the Secretary of the Assembly Affairs.
And with regards to vacant posts of the executive members, Ws. Famous was inducted as Sports Secretary and Merrily Langu as Social and Culture Secretary.
