IMPHAL, AUG 22 (DIPR): Public transport along the Imphal–Dimapur–Guwahati route via National Highway-2 continued smoothly for the second consecutive day on Saturday, with more than 200 passengers leaving Imphal aboard four buses and six Winger vehicles.
The vehicles departed from the Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT) at Khuman Lampak around 10 am.

Meanwhile, the 125 passengers who travelled on the inaugural service on Friday safely reached Guwahati earlier today.
The resumption of public transport along NH-2 follows the joint announcement by Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh, Deputy Chief Minister Nemcha Kipgen and Saitu MLA Haokholet Kipgen on August 8 at Kangpokpi.
They had announced the reopening of the National Highways for the free movement of people from all communities and the resumption of the Imphal–Dimapur–Guwahati bus service.
