Senapati: Upon the request of the Naga Legislature Forum, on behalf of the state government to give them a few more days to fulfil the legitimate demands of the association including the result declaration of 190 Assistant Professors (145+45 ST Special drive) posts, and the opening of mobile internet facility in the entire areas which are not affected by violence, the ANSAM in its meeting with the units have considered temporarily to suspend the proposed agitation which was supposed to resume from 27 November 2023.
In a press release issued by the Information & Publicity Wing of ANSAM, it stated to acknowledge the initiatives of the state government in partial opening of the internet connectivity in few parts of the district headquarter which are not affected by violence.
The ANSAM urged the government to provide internet in all the interior areas of the state not affected by violence and to declare the due result of the selected Assistant professors promptly as per the assurance.
On failing to fulfil the assurance this time, it warned that the Naga Legislature Forum and the state government shall be held responsible for all failure and degradation of the education sector especially in the hill station of Manipur.
