Ukhrul, May 24: “Arambai Tenggol has courted controversy at the wrong time and wrong place with their unfounded narrative when such beautiful occasion involving people from all socio-religious groups from across the country are at the height of joyous mode participating in the Shirui Lily Festival at Ukhrul/Shirui. Their manner of hoisting ‘SALAI TARET’ flag is a lowbrow and treasonous scumbag. ‘SALAI TARET’ flag has no connection with the Tangkhuls in any manner whatsoever: culturally, historically or politically. Thus, Arambai Tenggol had once again proved themselves as nothing but a bunch of ‘war-mongers’ provoking the nerves of the peace loving Tangkhuls.

Significantly, Arambai Tenggol’s actions constitute a breach of social protocol as prevalent in today’s civilized society. Ironically, we can only pity the poor souls of Arambai Tenggol whose actions are sheer stupidity.
All said and done, Arambai Tenggol should tender ‘unqualified apology within 48 hours for their unwarranted intrusion at Shirui peak hoisting their ‘SALAI TARET’ flag in the area that is far from their socio-religious jurisdiction.
