Assam Police nabs men from Kangpokpi and Churachandpur Dists with 1.5 Kg of heroin

Imphal: Assam Police personnel have apprehended three individuals from Manipur’s Kanpokpi and one from Churachandpur Districts with a significant amount of heroin.

The arrested suspects have been identified as Haobem Haokip (30), Henboi Haokip (39), Mamang Haokip (36), all hailing from Kangpokpi, and Gogou Paite (36) from Churachandpur.

The operation led by Cachar Police resulted in the confiscation of approximately 1.5 kilograms of heroin hidden in 104 soap cases.

The arrest and seizure took place at NIT Ghungoor NH bypass in Cachar, Assam, as part of routine vehicle checks. The miscreants were travelling in four wheeler along the route.
