The Vrindavani Vastra, a silk textile from Assam depicting Lord Krishna’s childhood, travelled from Assam to Tibet before the British Museum acquired it in 1904. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma left for London on Saturday (November 15) to finalise guidelines to bring it back for an exhibition in 2027.
