Nagaland Health Minister P Paiwang Konyak Calls on JP Nadda

UKHRUL: Nagaland for Health & Family Welfare Minister P Paiwang Konyak called on Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare JP Nadda on Monday.

During the meeting, Konyak expressed his sincere appreciation to the Union Minister for his continued commitment towards the development of Nagaland’s eastern region, particularly for the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement for the Frontier Nagaland Territorial Authority (FNTA).

The Nagaland health minister briefed the Union Minister on the ongoing infrastructure development initiatives under the State Programme Implementation Plan (SPIP), enhancement of the Resource Envelope, and the progress of academic and infrastructural activities at Nagaland Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (NIMSR) and Mon Medical College.

Konyak also acknowledged the JP Nadda’s support in extending MBBS seats for students from Nagaland at the central level.

The two leaders further deliberated on key national health initiatives, including PM-ABHIM, the 15th Finance Commission grants, and the early utilisation of the National Health Mission (NHM) Resource Envelope to optimise future allocations and strengthen healthcare delivery in the state.
