SENAPATI: The Assam Rifles is conducting Pre-Recruitment Training for Agniveer candidates at Maram, showing its commitment to supporting young people and creating employment opportunities in the region.

The initiative commenced with the registration of 116 candidates under the Agnipath Scheme. Subsequently, a structured one-month training programme was launched from 02 April to 04 May 2026, focusing on the holistic development of the aspirants. The training encompasses physical and mental conditioning, written examination coaching, awareness sessions, personality development, career guidance, and the conduct of pre-medical tests.
At present, a total of 42 candidates are undergoing rigorous training at Maram, including six female candidates who are actively participating alongside their male counterparts, reflecting growing inclusivity and determination among young women in the region.

The candidates hail from various areas, including Senapati, Maram, Makhan, Oinam, Willong Khullen, Lemta village, and Kangpokpi district, showcasing wide regional participation and enthusiasm for joining the Armed Forces.
The initiative has not only provided essential training but has also instilled discipline, confidence, and a sense of purpose among the participants. Assam Rifles continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the youth by guiding them towards a promising career in the Armed Forces while fostering a spirit of national service.
