Assam Rifles Somsai Battalion extends medical emergency aid to accident victims

The troops of Somsai Battalion, Assam Rifles under aegis of HQ IGAR (South turned savior for the victims of a road accident in the remote Poi village along Indo Myanmar border on 23 October.

At around 3.30 PM, a Mahindra Bolero Camper plying from Poi to Huishu village with approximately six residents of Huishu, met with an accident near Baptist Church at Poi village. The vehicle toppled due to the bad road condition developed
due to incessant rains in the region for the past two days. The passengers suffered multiple bruises wherein two men suffered internal injuries as well. A medical team from Poi Post of Assam Rifles rushed to the spot as soon as the locals informed about the incident and provided necessary first aid to the injured.

The locals appreciated the effort and speedy response of Assam Rifles and also applauded the efforts in maintaining security and peace in the difficult and challenging times of COVID-19. Necessary precautions and protocols were followed during the treatment of the injured passengers. See Less
