UKHRUL: The Rastrahit Sarvopari Sangathan has written to government authorities demanding the immediate arrest of those accused in the assault and molestation case involving Northeastern women in Nehru Place, Delhi.
According to the organization, the victims were subjected to targeted harassment, derogatory slurs, and a brutal physical assault outside M-Houz Club. “One of the victims was allegedly attacked with a bamboo stick and had her clothes torn during the incident. Even after the registration of the FIR, the accused have reportedly continued issuing life threats to the victims,” the organization stated while sharing details of the case.
The organization emphasized that the accused must be arrested without delay, especially since their identities have already been established. It also called for immediate police protection for the victims, citing continued intimidation and threats being circulated through social media platforms.

Further, Rashtrahit Sarvopari Sangathan sought an inquiry into the reportedly “casual” initial response of P.S. Kalkaji, stressing that negligence in sensitive cases involving women’s safety and racial discrimination should not be tolerated. It concluded its appeal by urging authorities to act swiftly and decisively, stating that justice delayed in such sensitive matters would send a damaging message regarding women’s safety and communal harmony in the nation’s capital.
