Blessing Ceremony Organized for Hopingson A. Shimray by Marou Village

A blessing ceremony was organised for Hopingson A. Shimray by his native village Marou under the aegis of Village Authority and attended by all villagers as he intends to contest the upcoming 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly Election 2022 from 43-Phungyar Assembly Constituency.

The village elders who spoke on the blessing ceremony strongly emphasized for unity of all the villagers solely for Hopingson A. Shimray in the upcoming election.

It may be recalled that Hopingson Shimray submitted his resignation letter on September 1 this year from the presidentship of Tangkhul Naga Long (Tangkhul Naga Apex body).

Apart from the recent resignation from TNL, it may be mentioned that the sole purpose of taking voluntary retirement from being the Chief Financial Advisor at North East Frontier Railway in the year 2016 to join electoral politics as he said he will serve the people whole heartedly.

During the blessing ceremony Hopingson A. Shimray strongly emphasize for inclusive and progressive change and that development should be “together, for everyone’s growth, with everyone’s trust”.

According to his close aid, it was not a campaign kick off, however it was an internal village level programme organised to bless Hopingson A. Shimray and reassure their total support in the upcoming election.
