Dimapur: One drowned in Doyang river in Nagaland on November 3, according to a delayed report.
On receiving information regarding the drowning incident, DDMA Wokha deployed Home Guards and Civil Defence (HG&CD) and SDRF (force), an official report said.
The team led by a sub-inspector along with 18 personnel carried out a search operation for two days. On day one, the SDRF team carried out the search and rescue operation through paddle search, line search, and using OBM. SDRV personnel carried OBM for 4 km which took around one hour to reach the spot. The search operation was called off around 4 pm on the first day.

On the next day, the SDRF team reached the spot around 7 am along with NDRF (force) and local communities and started the search operation. Around 11 am, the body was retrieved by the SDRF personnel and local divers. The victim was Aghoto Chopi (38) of Lotisa New village, the report added.
