Body of Laishram Bomcha found in Imphal East

Imphal: Following yesterday’s heavy exchange of fire between Kukis and Meitei armed groups at Sinam Kom area under Sagolmang Police Station in Imphal East District, the body of a Meitei was found today.

The deceased is identified as Laishram Bomcha, also known as Prem (aged 32), from Sinam Mamang Leikai, Imphal East. His body was recovered around 5 AM today, hours after he went missing.

The clash between twos reportedly occurred at the Sinam Kom area, resulting in a heavy exchange of fire last evening.
