The victim, identified as Dugdha Hazarika (37), of Sonitpur, Assam, had been living at the Maukot BIPL Camp in Suangdoh. He was reportedly last seen on July 28, 2025. A coordinated search effort, led by Singngat police and supported by several local philanthropic civil society organizations, had been underway since his disappearance.
