IMPHAL, NOVEMBER 8: The Border Security Force (BSF), Manipur, has announced the successful conclusion of the State Level Under-15 (Boys) Football Tournament – 2025 with a vibrant closing ceremony held at the Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong, Imphal.
According to a press release issued by BSF Manipur, the week-long tournament was organized under the BSF’s Civic Action Programme (CAP) in collaboration with the All Manipur Football Association (AMFA). The event was dedicated to Shaheed Constable Deepak Chingakham, Vir Chakra, a brave son of Manipur who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.
The tournament saw spirited participation from 12 teams representing different parts of the state. Over seven days, the young footballers displayed outstanding skills, discipline, and teamwork, bringing to life the unifying spirit of sports.

In a thrilling final match between PANDAM and NERU FA, NERU FA emerged champions with a 3–2 victory, much to the delight of nearly 800 spectators who turned up to cheer the teams.
The closing ceremony was graced by Shri L. Kailun, IPS, Additional Director General (Law & Order), Manipur Police, as Chief Guest. The parents of the martyr, Shri D.V. Kowar, President of AMFA, and Padma Shri O. Bembem Devi, former Indian footballer, attended as Guests of Honour. Officers and personnel from the Army, BSF, Police, civil authorities, community leaders, and families of the players were also in attendance.
The winners and runners-up received trophies and cash prizes, while special awards were presented for Best Goalkeeper, Best Defender, Best Midfielder, Best Forward, and Top Scorer of the Tournament.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Guest appreciated the BSF’s consistent efforts to engage with local communities through sports. He said the tournament not only honours the memory of a national hero but also encourages young athletes to pursue their goals with dedication and passion.
