Butcher shops ignore STC’s pork ban in Ukhrul

Despite the ban on pork notified by the Ukhrul ADC’s Small Town Committee (STC), pork sellers continued to sell the meat at their shops in Ukhrul town.

Media persons who visited the meat market near TNL Ground at Viewland on Tuesday, found pork items openly displayed hanging above the butchers’ counter. Even some people were seen buying meat from the shops.
