Chaivalry Lartang crowned Miss Universe Meghalaya 2025

Shillong, June 18: Chaivalry Lartang has been crowned Miss Universe Meghalaya 2025, and will now go on to represent the state at the upcoming Miss Universe India 2025.

The grand finale was held on June 14 at Hotel Vivanta in Shillong, where young women from across the state came together to compete for the title. The event was organised by the Meghalaya Tourism Youth Development Society (MTYDS) in collaboration with Miss Universe India.

Chaivalry, who was the first runner-up at Miss Meghalaya 2024, stood out with her confidence, presence, and quiet strength. Speaking to reporters after her win, she said, “This moment means everything to me. Representing my home on the national stage is both an honour and a responsibility.”

The jury featured some well-known names in the Indian pageant circuit, including Amjad Khan, Director of Franchise Operations for Miss Universe India; Aqsa Varghese, Miss Universe Kerala 2024; and Irene Dkhar, Miss Tourism India.

Over the next few weeks, Chaivalry will head to Delhi for intensive training and grooming as she prepares to compete among the country’s best at Miss Universe India 2025.

The organisers called her a “true ambassador” of the state, saying her win reflects not just beauty, but the strength, grace and spirit of Meghalaya’s youth.
