Chandel, October 24: The Chakpikarong Youth Club on Wednesday inaugurated its office-cum-community hall at Chakpikarong village, which was built with funds raised by its members.

The Chakpikarong Youth Club Office-cum-Cultural Hall was dedicated by Rev. Rt. Changhman and inaugurated by Hb. Hmunkhel, Former President of Chakpikarong Youth Club and Vice Principal of United College, Chandel. Constructed at a cost of Rs. 11 lakh, the cultural hall was built by the youth club with funds raised by them, without any assistance from the government.

“We had some funds with us and thought of making good use of it. So, we decided to raise more funds and build this office-cum-cultural hall,” said Bd. Onahring, President of Chakpikarong Youth Club.
