Chandel: The first executive meeting of the Chandel District Olympic Association was held on Friday at Khungpham’s Heritage, Mantripantha.

The first executive meeting of the Chandel District Olympic Association was hosted by SS Olish, MLA of 41-Chandel (ST) AC and president of the association.

The meeting was attended by TS. Chamna Anal, MPS/SDPO, Chandel, who is also the president of DSA, Chandel; TS Kothar Monsang, CEO (Retd) and former president of DSA, Chandel; Seiminthang Lenthang, MCS, CEO, ADC Chandel and other members of the association.

The meeting discussed and shared views, ideas and ways on improving sports in the district. It also discussed developing sports in the district at the grassroot level and taking it to greater heights.

Addressing the meeting, SS Olish appreciated all leaders of various sports disciplines of Chandel for dedicating and taking trouble to mould the players of the District.

She also called on them to take physically and mentally part in the event to develop the district for better tomorrow. The meeting was also attended by Mayanglambam Rajkumar, IAS DC Chandel; L Shankerjit, MPS, ASP Chandel and executive members of the association.
