Chandel District Police Hosts District Level Painting Competition on “Garbage Free India”

Chandel, 28th Sept: Under the guidance of SP Chandel, Shivanand Surve IPS, the Chandel District Police organized a District Level Painting and Drawing Competition for students from Classes III to VIII. This event was held at Japhou Upper Primary School as part of the “Swachhata Hi Seva” campaign, focusing on the theme “Garbage Free India.”

Approximately 85 students from various schools in Chandel District participated in the competition, which was divided into two categories: Category A for Classes III to V and Category B for Classes VI to VIII.

CATEGORY A:

  1. First Place: Miss SS Lucy – Khungpham Junior High School, Mantri Pantha
  2. Second Place: Miss Etthrasha Wanglar – Japhou Upper Primary School, Japhou
  3. Third Place: Miss DB Grace – St. Joseph’s High School, Chandel

Consolation Prizes:

  • Miss Khireign Langhu – Anallon Christian Institute, Lambung, Chandel
  • Miss Blossom Chara – Oak Hills Academy, Chandel
  • Mr. KT Khumdon – Khungpham Junior High School, Mantri Pantha
  • Mr. Bengamwar – St. Peter’s Higher Secondary School, Monsangpantha
  • Miss Daryal Ningthari Anal – Oriental Academy, Riverlane, Chandel

CATEGORY B:

  1. First Place: Miss Thachahring Rangang – Oak Hills Academy, Chandel
  2. Second Place: Miss Vandowllihring Tongsin – Koinonia Training School, Chandel
  3. Third Place: Miss Isabel Chahongnao – Japhou Upper Primary School, Japhou

Consolation Prizes:

  • Miss Marysha Moyon – St. Paul High School, Liwachangning
  • Mr. Oinam Chinglensana – Japhou Upper Primary School, Japhou
  • Mr. Dilbung Ringwar – Oak Hills Academy, Chandel

The awards included cash prizes of Rs. 3000 for first place, Rs. 2000 for second, Rs. 1000 for third, and Rs. 500 for consolation prizes, along with certificates for all participants.

In his speech, SP Shivanand Surve congratulated all participants and winners for their artistic contributions. He emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness to achieve a “Garbage Free India,” urging students to foster a clean environment for a healthier lifestyle. He expressed gratitude to the organizing team, particularly Nicodim Monsang, Head Master of Japhou Upper Primary School, for their support in hosting the event. Additionally, he acknowledged the contributions of school principals, headmasters, and teachers for encouraging their students’ participation.

Surve also announced that the Chandel District Police would continue to host more events under the Students Police Cadets Program to benefit students and enhance their understanding of police operations at the community level.

This event saw the participation of several dignitaries, including TS Chamna Anal MPS, Additional SP (Ops), and other police officials, highlighting the collaboration between the police and educational institutions in fostering community engagement and awareness.
