CHANDEL: As part of the ongoing Information, Education and Communication (IEC) Campaign under “Janjatiya Garima Utsav 2026 – Jan Bhagidari Week (Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle)”, a Saturation and Health Camp along with a Transect Walk was successfully conducted at Tampi and nearby villages under Chakpikarong Block in Chandel district, Manipur on Thursday.
The programme was organized by the SDO/BDO, Chakpikarong with the participation of seven line departments. The campaign witnessed active participation from the local public, with around 320 villagers attending the programme. A large number of government line department officials and 11 village chiefs/headmen and village authority members also participated in the event.

As part of the drive, awareness was created on various government welfare schemes and developmental programmes for the benefit of the people.
The programme also featured a Health Camp and Transect Walk aimed at promoting community awareness, public health and grassroots participation. During the campaign, the Autonomous District Council (ADC), Chandel also distributed agricultural items to beneficiaries.
