CDHA holds reception for Chandel Girls Hockey team in Manipur Olympic Games

The Chandel District Hockey Association (CDHA) organized reception cum certificate distribution program for Chandel Girls Hockey team that had participated in the recently concluded 2nd Manipur Olympic Games, 2022 at Mowarning Sumpi Building Conference Hall, Japhou Bazar Chandel on Friday.

Superintendent of Police, Chandel Pandey Hemant, IPS attended the program as chief guest. District Youth Affairs and Sports Officer, Chandel Soibam Ranbir Singh, Principal, JNV-Chandel Amarson Sankhil, 21Assam Rifles Major Dayananda Nongthoujbam attended the gathering as guests of honour. Lh. Alembert, Pastor district headquarter Baptist Church, Japhou Bazar attended the program as blessing minister.

Ng. Gilbert Monsang, President of Chandel District Hockey Association in his welcome and introductory speech lauded the Chandel girls hockey team for their participation and ambitious performance in the 2nd Manipur Olympic Games despite the fact that Chandel District Hockey Association was formed recently in 2021. Hockey is a new sport in Chandel he mentioned.

In his speech as chief guest, Hemant Pandey congratulated Chandel district girls hockey team for giving their best effort in the recently concluded 2nd Manipur Olympic Games, 2022. He encouraged the young girls to inculcate discipline in their approach and enjoy hockey game as much as team work. The dignitaries on the dais emphasized on hard work, focus, dedication and highest respect for the coach as important principles for any sports person to succeed in life. They also appreciated the Chandel District Hockey Association (CDHA) in particular and District Sports Association Chandel (DSAC) for their contribution to promote and upgrade hockey and other sports in Chandel district.

The session was moderated by Ts. Newry Anal, Jt. Secretary CDHA. Th. Joyshing Monsang, Gen. Secy CDHA assisted the distribution of certificates and gave vote of thanks on behalf of CDHA.
