CHURACHANDPUR, NOV 23: The final match of the 1st Open Futsal Tournament 2025, held in celebration of the 4th anniversary of Greenhills Resorts & Hotel, took place today at Greenhills Resorts & Hotel, Mata Mualtam, Churachandpur district.

The event was the first of its kind for budding players in the district and offered record prizes, including Rs. 1 lakh for the winners and Rs. 50,000 for the runners-up.

In the final match of the 30-team tournament, Niangzen MT faced BA Team, with the latter securing a 3–1 victory. The champions received a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh along with a rolling winners’ trophy, which will continue for future editions.

The event was graced by Mr. Thanboi Gangte, MCS, who appreciated the efforts of Greenhills Resorts & Hotel for becoming a centre of recreation without boundaries—remarks echoed by other guests present.

The tournament was covered by the Churachandpur Working Reporters’ Union as media partner. The evening also featured performances by artists from Mizoram and local talents during the valedictory function.
