CHURACHANDPUR: As many as 33 successful trainees were felicitated on Monday during the 3rd Valedictory Ceremony of Hospitality – Food & Beverages Trainee cum Thanksgiving Ceremony of the Accreditation and Affiliation of CDS Skill Centre (VTCY) by the Tourism and Hospitality Sector Skill Council (THSC) at the CDS Skill centre in Churachandpur district, Manipur.
The programme was graced by S Khaikhopau Ngaihte, Joint Secy (Transport) GOM, as Special Guest. Ngaihte handed out certificates and floral felicitations to the successful trainees, most of whom have got placement in different 5-Star hotels in different metropolitan cities through the initiative of IndiGo Reach and Community Development Society’s who collaborated to give free training and placement to the students of Churachandpur district.

Speaking on the occasion, Ngaihte exhorted the successful trainees to adjust to the new atmosphere of their placement and try to gain maximum experience to further their career while keeping their faith in God as their priority. He also stressed that the training was not only about getting placement elsewhere but learning to better their livelihood.
Also congratulating the successful trainees, Lianzamung Tonsing, president of CDS, said success comes with individual’s effort and cautioned that they may have to compromise their home comfort as they venture out for their dream career.
It may be mentioned that the hospitality training initiated by IndiGo Reach and CDC, Churachandpur has so far given free training and placement to three batches, of which 70 students, have got placements in well known hostels across the country.
