Ukhrul: Church’s Auxiliary for Social Action (CASA) undertook emergency relief distribution in Manipur hit violence.
Church’s Auxiliary for Social Action (CASA), Northeast Team in collaboration with Manipur Baptist Convention (MBC) and local stakeholders reached out to the most affected and vulnerable population due to violence/riots between Kuki and Meetei in Manipur with empathy and compassion.

Phungreiso Varu, Regional Communication Officer, CASA Guwahati visited physically and conveyed the message of love, peace, hope and distributed relief materials including rice, dal, mustard oil, soya beans, packed drinking water, biscuits, mosquito nets, bed-sheets, towels, soap, liquid dettol, sanitary pads among the most affected population in various relief camps of Kangpokpi, Bishnupur, Thoubal and Ukhrul districts.

He stated “we understand the pain and suffering both the community have experienced, and we want to offer our prayer support by making ourselves physically present here with you, our hearts and thoughts are with you. He thanked the inmates, leaders of various local stakeholders, district administrations, organizations, volunteers, and individuals committed to helping rebuilding their lives and regain a sense of hope and stability.”
aPhungreiso Varu also thanked and appreciated the relief camps leaders for accepting CASA’s message of love and humanitarian assistance.
