Appealing for general public cooperation, CoTU has announced total shutdown within Sadar Hills in Kangpokpi with effect from 5 am Friday till 5 pm Friday to perform funeral services.

The Kuki-Zo civil body in Kangpokpi district in a press release on Thursday said “the much awaited homecoming of our fallen brothers and sisters after a long tumultuous 8 months of despair, heartbreak and hopelessness have eventually reached their resting place here in our homeland. And we will honor our fallen Kuki-Zo brethren with the highest burial rites tomorrow i.e. 15 Friday at Martyr Cemetery at Phaijang.”
