COVID-19 infected Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh on Monday visited a hospital for his health check up. The chief minister was tested positive for the novel coronavirus on Sunday and he has been on home isolation since then.

The COVID-19 positive status of the chief minister was announced by himself on his Facebook page on the same day. “Visited JNIMS today for certain tests and check-up for my health,” Biren Singh posted on his Facebook page on Monday.

He visited the hospital as a patient and he was satisfied with the healthcare service rendered by the doctors and staff of the biggest state government-run hospital in fighting the pandemic.

“As a patient myself, I understand and applaud the relentless efforts of the doctors and other staff of this state-run medical institution in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic in Manipur,” he further wrote on his Facebook page.
