COVID-19 recovery rate improves to 98.04% in Manipur

The recovery rate of COVID-19 related patients in Manipur has increased to 98.04 percent, Manipur Health department said on Saturday.

It also said that, as no death case was reported due to the pandemic reported in the last 24 hours, the COVID-19 fatality tally of the state still stands at 369 on Saturday.

A total of 17 fresh positive cases were reported in Manipur in the past 24 hours (till 4pm of January 23) and 18 patients were discharged during the same period, the health department stated in its daily update report.

The 17 fresh positive cases which included two CAPF personnel has pushed the total number of persons exposed to the corona virus in the state to 28,970.

Till now 28,405 patients including 3,408 CAPF personnel have been cured and only 196 active cases are currently treating at various Covid care centres,” the health department stated in its daily update report. 
“The recovery rate is now 98.04 percent,” it added.

Among the 15 fresh cases from the general populace, seven are from Imphal West, three from Churachandpur, two each from Imphal East and Tamenglong and one from Chandel.

The fresh cases were detected during testing 1,151 samples in the last 24 hours. A total of 5,04,829 samples have been tested in the state so far.
