COVID-19 situation improves in Manipur

With the steady decline in COVID-19 cases in Manipur, the recovery rate of the state is improving further even as two more COVID-19 related deaths were reported in the last 24 hours to take the casualty tally to 329.

The recovery rate of the state stands at 91.72% on Wednesday, a slight increase from the previous day’s 91.16%.

A total of 81 fresh COVID-19 cases were detected during testing of 2,355 samples tested in the last 24 hours. The samples tested in the state have reached 4,58,883.

COVID-19 Common Control Room of the state government, in a press release, informed that, out of the 81 fresh cases detected in the last 24 hours, 78 are locals who have no significant travel history in the recent time. The rest three are personnel of the Central security forces.

Meanwhile, a total of 227 patients diagnosed with the contagious virus were discharged during the same period after recovering from the disease. The recovered patients included 14 CAPF personnel.

The 81 fresh positive cases of COVID-19 pushed the total number of people infected with the viral disease in the state to 27,373. Of them, 25,107 including 3,312 CAPF personnel were recovered cases and 1,937 active cases.
