Covid Positive Woman delivers baby in Dist Hospital Chandel

A 36-year-old Covid positive patient, Joyrita delivered a female baby today at District Hospital Chandel.

Weighing 2.7 kg, the newborn baby was delivered at 1:04 am led by Dr Shangreihou, Obst & Gynae, along with senior nurse Shantimala, Sister Veronica and Sorthing.

Both mother and child are stable and have been shifted to isolation ward, Medical Superintendant District Hospital Chandel informed.

A patient from Maribung village Chandel district gave birth to a baby girl at the same hospital on July 30, 2021 headed by Dr. Ojit along with senior nurse Shantimala and Veronica.
